Place your upgrades and race!

We were very happy to collaborate with Speelgoedmuseum Mechelen to build an interactive installation for the new museum!

We pitched several projects, of which they chose the Toy Car Racer.
Take a seat in this life-sized toy car and swap-out the upgrades to make your ideal combination and shave off some extra seconds to beat the fastest time.

INSTALLATION

🚀 Replaceable upgrades, from rocket boosters to crate-stomping horns.
🧲 Upgrades snap-on using hidden built-in mangets.
🛜 Upgrades appear in game using RFID.
🏎️ Feel every bump with force-feedback in the steering wheel.

GAME

🔋 Manage your upgrade power by collecting batteries.
🏁 Beat daily highscores or have a go at the all-time records.
🛞 Three tracks: Circuit, Volcano & Winter.
🚁 Propel or boost your way to hidden shortcuts.
